Charles wanted a standing desk with specific dimensions. He was completely open to any and all suggestions for materials. This beautiful desk features prominently the kickboard (lower front board) of the Ring-A-Round piano. The spaces where pedals once poked through made for perfect spots to let cables snake away out of sight. The legs are composed of the working parts of Ring-A-Round’s dampener and sustain pedals and Carole’s heavyweight back posts. Finished off with a pair of early 1900’s carriage stirrups and a heavy pouring of Tung oil, this leg-sy workspace stands 40” high and serves as a stand-up and bar stool-height desk.
